What is confirmed
Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 began in Varanasi on 2 December 2025. The Government of India described it as a cultural and educational exchange connecting Tamil Nadu and Kashi, with more than 1,400 delegates expected in organised groups.
The related Tamil-learning programme in Varanasi schools ran from 2 to 15 December 2025. Those dates must not be presented as a 2026 visitor programme.

2026 status
As of 3 September 2026, no official Government of India announcement reviewed for this update confirms dates, registration, delegate batches, venues, or a transport plan for another 2026 edition.

What happened during KTS 4.0
The 2025 programme brought delegates from Tamil Nadu to Kashi for academic sessions, cultural performances, temple and heritage visits, and interaction with local institutions. Banaras Hindu University was an important programme location, but activities were distributed across the city.
Transport after a future announcement
If a new edition is announced, confirm your delegate batch, reporting point, venue, and government-provided transport before hiring a private vehicle. Event traffic plans can change by batch and by day.
