The 3-Day Kashi–Gaya Circuit, Day by Day

Gaya (in Bihar, ~5 hours from Varanasi) is considered the ultimate destination for Pind Daan — offering pind at the Vishnupad Temple and the sacred Falgu river is believed to grant moksha to ancestors. Many families deliberately pair the two cities:

• Day 1 — Kashi: dawn Tarpan and Shradh at Tulsi/Kedar Ghat; rest; optional Kashi Vishwanath darshan.
• Day 2 — Gaya: travel to Gaya; Pind Daan at Vishnupad and the Falgu ghats with a Gaya purohit.
• Day 3 — Return / Prayagraj (optional): return to Kashi, or extend to Prayagraj for Tarpan at the Triveni Sangam.

Monsoon Preparedness (Jul–Sep)

• Footwear: strapped, grippy sandals (not foam clogs) for wet stone.

• Transport: auto/e-rickshaw to bypass congestion and waterlogging.

Are boat rides part of the package during monsoon? No — during the monsoon the Ganga floods and boats are suspended, so all rites are done ghat-side or inland with auto/e-rickshaw transport. We can add boat rides once the river is safe post-monsoon.
